  • Double-Duty Christmas Card

    An honorarium program with a Christmas spin has resulted in $10,000 in additional income for the Memphis Union Mission and some very positive feedback from donors. For a suggested gift of $10 per person, the Mission will send a hand-addressed, specially designed card to each individual on a donor's list. According to Steve Carpenter, "It's a win-win program that brings additional gifts to the Mission and allows donors to honor someone special." More>>
  • Summer Camp, all year round!

    Opened in 1927 by the Mission's founder, Dr. Ernest "Pappy" Reveal, as a retreat for unwed mothers, the Evansville Rescue Mission's Camp Reveal evolved into a camp for underprivileged kids. But that still left the verdant site vacant for most of the year, so the good folks at the Mission started renting to church groups and civic groups. And because of its proximity to the city, Reveal was perfect for holiday banquets, Sunday school picnics and even weddings! More>>
