"Revealing the Needs of a Broken World"
"There were two books I read at an early age which God used to change my life and direct me to this exciting field of helping people through photography", says BDI's globe-trotting picture taker, Greg Schneider, "The Real Book About Photography" and Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People."
"But it wasn't until years later that God, through Jesus Christ, revealed himself to me and showed me the good works that he had prepared, in advance, for me to do, in order to bring him Glory and help my fellow man."
"With my cameras I can be God's "missionary provocateur," encouraging his people to pray, to give and, occasionally, to go into missions work themselves. I can reveal the great needs of a broken world and also show how God is using men and women to meet those needs."
In addition to Brewer Direct, Greg travels the world shooting photos for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assn. and for magazines like Christianity Today. He has also contributed photography to several books including Max Lucado's One Incredible Moment".
Although he prefers to shoot "plain-old" people, Greg had the opportunity over the years to photo some more famous folks: Robert F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Muhammad Ali, Nicolas Cage, Michelle Pfeiffer and Carole Burnett. But when it comes right down to it, Greg admits, "It's more fun shooting just plain folk."
"Working with Brewer Direct has been very meaningful to me because I know the images I make help raise money for the neediest in our society. And God has put a special love in my heart for downtrodden folks who may not been dealt as good a hand in life as I have. Some of the greatest people I've met are those who work in rescue missions."
