As always, I thank you for taking the time to review this issue of the Direct Edge e-Bulletin. It is our hope that you will find valuable and encouraging information to help you in your efforts. We are excited to announce another new client to the Brewer Direct family – the Bay Area Rescue Mission and to share the recent launch of a new website for our client the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier.

In February of this year Brewer Direct commissioned a Benchmark Donor Performance Analysis representing more than 2.3 million gifts from nearly 500,000 donors from 2004 thru 2009. The results were shared at the Brewer Direct Institute held in March but a brief synopsis of the presentation is available here for your review.

Boys & Girls Club Website Increases Response

Early in 2010, Brewer Direct launched a new website for the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier. Received with great enthusiasm by both the Club staff and the Board of Directors, www.bgcw.org features great local photos, up-to-date Club information, and a special events page where individuals can sign-up and also purchase tickets with an enhanced donation link.

Recession Increases Client Income


Recession Increases Client Income

According to the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), the United States economy entered a recession in December 2007, and, as would be expected, non-profit direct marketing revenue in the index began to decline as the economy weakened. But according to the BDI Benchmark Study, commissioned in Feb 2010, clients are outpacing not only the economic trends, but those in the non-profit industry as a whole!
